#549 IP Blacklist

Posted by Joseph on 15 August 2014 - 03:03 AM

Dear Haphost users,

To ensure perfect working conditions it was decided not to allow users with blacklisted IP to be allowed within the system.
As such, you might want to check your status via tools like MxToolbox.

If your IP is listed within any of the blacklists, you will need to contact the appropriate listing administrators. Once your IP is removed from the blacklists, you will be able to use our services.

Note: If your IP is listed on Spamhaus PBL, you will still be able to log into your Haphost account.

Sincerely,
Haphost

#4271 Recent Downtime

Posted by Conner on 15 February 2015 - 01:36 AM

Hello,

As many of you are aware recently today we have been struck with an amount of downtime, we are still

working on the issue and will update you in the meantime. This meant that all container's on effected Node's

were stopped.

Currently you should be able to Start your Container's from the Management Panel this will place

your Container in a queue for the start command, we do this to preserve and stop our node's from overloading with

requests. your request will be executed in the order they are received.

As your container's are queued they will also be updated into a Locked state, please do not worry this is a

normal procedure to stop multiple commands being sent.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this and we will be updating this

thread with more information when it is received.

Update: We are working on a solution to the problem we aim to have this fixed within 48 hours, we again apologize for any inconvenience.

Kind Regards,

#459 Haphost Brazil VPS

Dear users and friends,

Due to lack of availability of resources within Brazil, we want to inform you that from September 1st, 2014 Haphost will stop supporting its services within Brazil. This decision is made so that the available resources can be better put to use within one location, to maximize its performance.

Users who currently have an active account within Haphost can submit a request for VPS. Once they have a new VPS they can use it to transfer the old data from the old system.

To submit a request for VPS hosting please login here:
http://manage.haphost.com/login

Thank you for using Haphost!

Kind regards,

#2846 Service Improvements

Posted by Joseph on 17 October 2014 - 05:06 AM

Hello Haphost friends!

We are happy to announce that we have improved our system! We are upgrading the approval of new registrations. As so, small steps have been taken to increase the rate at which the approvals are dealt with. We are hoping to completely automatize this in the long run, so as to provide the lowest setup time possible.

Moreover, each node has received IP filtering optimization which will help the nodes to deal with routing all-around. This will improve network stability and performance, and help avoid more network interruptions. In conjunction with this, the back-end queuing has been improved to better deal with stuck or frozen nodes, so you could get back to the action quicker. By using our own control system together with the OpenVZ system we are able to make small changes that will help your sites run more smoothly.

#208 Node.js and MongoDb

Posted by BritishDeveloper on 06 August 2014 - 07:37 PM

Hey All

I have just started developing in Node.js. I hear its a new alternative to php and maybe one day will take over from it. I have had very little experience with php so cant really comment on this. Node.js uses something called node package manager (npm) where you find, use and even add packages that are useful tools for you program. For example if you use SVN as you repo there is a package for managing that or there is a package to help you easily add email dispatching to you program. The main package most people use is called expressjs and that gives you a api that makes it easy to create get and post routes for managing you web pages.

Along with node.js you have the option of using mongodb as your database. I have to say this has to be the best DB I have ever used. Its very easy to add tables and drop them with out the hassle of doing things in a certain order, and there is no tables setting up. You just push to a collection name and it does the rest for you.

Has anyone else used these technology's. How would you review them and do you think there is a future in them?

Look forward to hearing you responses

#900 installing kloxo-mr in the VPS (better than kloxo)

Posted by amir ramezani on 28 August 2014 - 10:50 AM

hi all,

in this guide i want to show how to install kloxo-mr in the VPS

why kloxo-mr, not kloxo itself?

kloxo-mr is the updated and security fix of kloxo control panel by mustafa ramadhan

it has many bug fixes, many improvements than kloxo

it supports mysqly, mariaDB and something such as hiawatha server, etc

it is faster than the kloxo (as i've tryed it)

so, how to install this?

you must installed CentOS 5 or 6 in your server (i've installed version 5 and it worked)

then, i've connected to SSH client and invoked these commands:

setenforce 0
rpm -ivh https://github.com/mustafaramadhan/kloxo/raw/rpms/release/neutral/noarch/mratwork-release-0.0.1-1.noarch.rpm
yum -y update mratwork-*
sh /script/upcp

answer the questions if it asked, and wait for it to finish

now lets see the code:

the first line disable's the SELinux, second line download's and install's kloxo-mr, third line updates the kloxo-mr to the latest bugfix, and last line execute the shell installation script

then, after installation, you can go to

https://<yourip>:7777

or

http://<yourip>:7778/

then it ask's you the username and password, for boath type admin

then you'll be presented with a alert message that want's you to change your password

and you can do anything that you want with it

if you have any questions regarding this tutorial, ask it

#4920 [Howto] Install Anti (D)Dos Deflate

Posted by Arctic on 31 March 2015 - 04:30 PM

(D)DoS Deflate is a lightweight bash shell script designed to assist in the process of blocking a denial of service attack. It utilizes the command below to create a list of IP addresses connected to the server, along with their total number of connections. It is one of the simplest and easiest to install solutions at the software level.

netstat -ntu | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d: -f1 | sort | uniq -c | sort -n

IP addresses with over a pre-configured number of connections are automatically blocked in the server's firewall, which can be direct iptables or Advanced Policy Firewall (APF). (We highly recommend that you use APF on your server in general, but deflate will work without it.)

Notable Features

- It is possible to whitelist IP addresses, via /usr/local/ddos/ignore.ip.list.

- Simple configuration file: /usr/local/ddos/ddos.conf

- IP addresses are automatically unblocked after a preconfigured time limit (default: 600 seconds)

- The script can run at a chosen frequency via the configuration file (default: 1 minute)

- You can receive email alerts when IP addresses are blocked.

Installation

wget http://www.inetbase.com/scripts/ddos/install.sh

chmod 0700 install.sh

./install.sh

Uninstallation

wget http://www.inetbase.com/scripts/ddos/uninstall.ddos
chmod 0700 uninstall.ddos
./uninstall.ddos

Questions?

send me a PM with the subject DDoS Deflate
