[HOW TO] Installing Teamspeak3 Music Bot on Debian 6/7 64bit.

How to install TS3 Music Bot..

 

Login to your VPS with PUTTY

 

Update your OS and install screen with following lines:

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get install screen

After that you need to install tightvncserver, xorg and lxde-core with following command:

apt-get install xorg lxde-core tightvncserver

After that you need to install pulseaudio pavucontrol zenity audacious with following command:

apt-get install pulseaudio pavucontrol zenity audacious

Now start VNCserver with this command(First time it will ask for password, rembember it)

tightvncserver :1

Now change dir to /root/Desktop/ with this command

cd /root/Desktop

And type next one:

wget http://dl.4players.de/ts/releases/3.0.13/TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_amd64-3.0.13.run

After that open you VNC Viewer and type your IP with port :1 like  xxx.xxx.xxx:1

Encryption set to "Let VNC Server...."

 

After you log in you will see one file on desktop, Right click on it and click on "Permission" tab and check "Make this file executable"

 

After that double click on file and it will popup terminal, Press ENTER, you will see lincence press q  and after that type YES and press ENTER,

 

Go to start->Accessories->File Manager->/root and rename Teamspeak folder to ts, and cut it on Desktop(right click CUT, and Paste on Desktop)

 

After That you need to reboot your system by typing:

reboot

When its come back type(IN PUTTY)

tightvncserver :1

One more time login into VNC Viewer and open terminal in VNC by going to Start->Accessories->Root Terminal.

When you open it type:

cd /root/Desktop/ts
screen ./ts3client_runscript.sh

And it will open ts3 client(DON'T UPDATE) and change following settings:

PLAYBACK MODE: ALSA,

CAPTURE MODE: PULSEAUDIO.

 

Connect to server and make sure you have Grant talk power. and go to Start->Sound & Video->Audacios,  Press CTRL+L and enter stream link you want to listen.

Unfortually the machine is too slow for that :(

Agreed the machine is too slow to run, since it got 128MB RAM.

VPS is not slow for this, when you put ALSA to playback, your CPU usage on  Debian 6 will be  maximal to 50 %. :) Yuo can see my video tutorial.

VPS is not slow for this, when you put ALSA to playback, your CPU usage on  Debian 6 will be  maximal to 50 %. :) Yuo can see my video tutorial.

but is not allowed on Haphost ;)

from ToS it seems that it is forbidden only on Web Hosting, but not on VPS:

  • Game/Chat scripts are forbidden (applies to shared hosting accounts only)

Someone from the staff members will correct me if this is wrong.

Who will download MP3 file? For bot use Internet Radio, so then you just play that stream like on your PC. That way you don't have any mes with copyright, that is their music and their program, you just listen it. That softwares what is on this tutorial is free, you can see on software center on Debian or Ubuntu. This is not tutorial with ilegal stuff, no installing from source. :)

There is no Shem . .What 's Wrong?
