I am running a tiny java process on Ubuntu 12.04 VPS with 128 mb RAM. After some time, it may be six hours or a day something kills my process. I have not any OutOfMemoryExceptions in my java process, and I see that is enough memory in the system, also I passed a limitation to java process by Xms and Xmx params. Also. I tried to rename my process from java to vava etc and it doesn't help.

I assume that there is some kind of policy that kills long running processes. Is there a way to configure VPS to not kill my process?

Hello. Your process gets killed because you are over using your ram. You might have to limit how much ram you use.
