If you have copy-pasted the instructions in Bukkit's wiki page, then it would (ofcourse) overflow the memory, because when you run the server the java RAM minimum usage is 0.5GiB and the max is 1GiB

Check if your server can handle this amount of RAM usage (free vps - can handle 128MiB)

I'm running bukkit/vanilla/spigot servers. I'm using screen.

What's your server OS?

You don't have to answer  to my question if this command will work:

cd <your server files directory> //(can be deleted if your server is on /root/ directory)//
screen -s bukkit java -Xms128M -Xmx128M -jar craftbukkit.jar

EXAMPLE:

cd mc
screen -s bukkit java -Xms128M -Xmx128M -jar craftbukkit.jar

And when you save the file like start.sh (I'm using without .sh , I'm pressing [TAB] when I typed st(then [TAB])), you need to chmod.

I'm using always:

chmod 777 <start file name>

I hope you will understand, because I'm not english.

Best Regards,

Madia Driver :D

1. You need to change operating system t 32 bit, because 64 bit OS is for more than 3 GB ram server.

2. You need to change your Run.sh file to:

screen -s bukkit java -Xms128M -Xmx128M -jar craftbukkit.jar

To run in screen, and without #!/bin/sh and -o true .

Furthermore, for a linux build on any JRE service you need to specify the PermGen size with the following argument:

-XX:MaxPermSize=128M

Kind Regards,

-C
