This is a bug of OpenVZ - and the default templates.

Have you found to yum or any other program not being able to connect to the internet?

Well, here's the solution. The VPS is still connected, but it does not have any resolvers set.

You can set your own, but you'll be better setting this. This will also make your internet faster. They are Google's public DNS servers.

Set this to the file:

/etc/resolv.conf

:
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Or
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

put this in a file:
fixnet.sh

mv /etc/resolv.conf resolv.conf.bak
cat > /etc/resolv.conf <<END
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4
END

chmod it to executable:
chmod +x fixnet.sh

run it:
./fixnet.sh

Try now loading anything, it'll work now.
