-------------Installing PhpMyAdmin-------------
1) Reinstall to Debian 6.
2) Allow 10 minutes.
3) Change the root and console password to one value(I think they should be the same).
4) Edit the sources.list file to add this(Optional, but recommended, this repo has all new versions AFAIK):
deb http://packages.dotdeb.org squeeze all
deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org squeeze all
You can find it in /etc/apt/sources.list
5) Go to Putty
6) Login as root with your password you set in step 3.
7) Do apt-get update.
8) Wait for completion.
9) Do apt-get upgrade.
10) Wait for completion.
11) Do apt-get install mysql-server.
12) It will ask what root pass for mysql server to set.
13) Answer it.
14) Wait for completion of install of mysql.
15) Do apt-get install phpmyadmin.
15a) When it asks for which server to configure please choose apache2.
15b) On "Configure database for phpmyadmin with dbconfig-common?" answer Yes.
15c) Type the MySql Root Pass.
15d) Stage:" Please provide a password for phpmyadmin to register with the database │
│server. If left blank, a random password will be generated."
You can enter any pass here, but I recommend to make it same as MySql Root Pass.
15e) Confirm the same pass, stated in 15d).
16) Wait for completion.
17) All should be fine. Enjoy.
18) Distribute this to more people.
19) If you encounter problems contact me on the forum.
20) Thank you.
